Building Confidence: The Key to Stunning Portraits in Amsterdam

Confidence is key to a great photo, and trusting your photographer can make all the difference. In one of my recent sessions, we focused on helping participants relax and feel comfortable in front of the camera, even with a fast-paced schedule.

The common message I receive from almost everyone I photograph is how nerve-wracking it feels to have their photos taken. This is why building trust—through clear guidance, friendly conversation, and lots of encouragement makes the experience relaxing. I talk to my clients the whole session, telling them what to do, where to look, and improving the scene that, in the end, looks like a natural and unposed moment. The result? Natural, confident portraits that truly capture personalities.

This was another session with Gals That Brunch, where we paired quick 10-minute photoshoots with a relaxed brunch setting. The goal was to show that even in a short amount of time, you can feel at ease and leave with photos you love. Trust and connection between the photographer and subject are at the heart of this process.
