Mariana - 10 minute photo session event with Gals that Brunch Amsterdam

One of the things I’m very proud of is the ability to photograph someone beautifully within just 10 minutes. I’ve taken on similar challenges before, and the truth is, when both the photographer and the person being photographed are in sync, amazing results can be achieved in a short time.

This challenge happened a few weeks ago. Mariana mentioned something that I think is so true: deciding to have photos taken as a local in Amsterdam can feel tricky. You want to elevate your outfit and look polished, but at the same time, you’re likely going cycling afterward! Combining the session with a brunch, though, makes it much more fun and practical.

The wonderful team at Gals That Brunch Amsterdam proposed this event a few months ago, and I was immediately excited to take part. We quickly dove into logistics. The result? Five amazing women, 10 minutes each, and three final edits chosen from a gallery of 7–10 images per person.

Here are the results from our first session—featuring only the photos they selected and approved for me to share with you! Can't wait to show you more about this event.

About the location, we are in Oud-West, which is one of the most beautiful areas that was not quite photographed or shown enough on social media. This area was built in the 1900s and showcases fantastic buildings from the School of Architecture of Amsterdam.
