Had the most magical time celebrating National Tulip Day 2025 at Museumplein in Amsterdam. This year’s theme, ‘Celebrate your Date,’ honored Amsterdam’s 750th anniversary, and the beautiful tulip garden at Museumplein didn’t disappoint.

We arrived around 10 am to get in line, and even though the garden opened at 1 pm, it was well worth the wait. With over 200,000 tulips, it was a fantastic celebration of color. Each person could pick 10 tulips, and we got paper bags to carry them. It’s such a great way to kick off tulip season in The Netherlands!

While tulips are everywhere for sale now, the iconic tulip fields won’t bloom until March, reaching their peak in April and May.
