New week, a unique story to tell. I have delivered the pictures of Shinta and Francisco's wedding, so happy for it and now telling you a little more about this Amsterdam's fantastic wedding story.
The most amazing part is how we met.
I'm in Amsterdam for a few weeks now, and there is a bit of advice I want to tell no matter the profession you are if you are changing location or starting in a new area of expertise.
First, list yourself in an international directory. I was already on Mywed.com and only changed my area a few months before moving because you know, weddings are usually booked a year in advance.
Shinta, the bride, sent me a message through this site, and then we connected online, and all was magic since then.
They had a family wedding at Gemmente Amsterdam, Stadsloket Zuid, and then a dinner reception at Parallel Amsterdam. The ceremony was held half in English and half in Dutch, and even I couldn't understand the words of the speeches, I felt the emotions and everyone, including me, went into happy tears. It was a truly magical moment. I must say, after this experience, I registered for intensive Dutch classes as I find it essential for being a true Bruiloftfotograaf in Nederland.
One of the characteristics of Amsterdam Weddings is the hammer. Gemeente judge told us, there is no need to sign the registry to know they are married, there are 2-4 witnesses, and they have to hear the "Ja" or "I do," and that is all they needed to be married, but the confirmation is the hammer. Of course, there is the signing of the registry at the end.
Here are some pictures of this lovely wedding in Amsterdam. Zoek jij een Fotograaf voor jullie Bruiloft in Amsterdam of in de Randstad? (Yes! I'm learning)
See you soon from the fairytale city of Amsterdam,
